The Story Behind The You Scent
The You Scent was never part of a grand business plan — it began simply as a passion. What started as a calming hobby after long days at work soon became a creative outlet where I could unwind, relax, and express myself through fragrance. Candle-making quickly turned into more than just a pastime; it became a form of therapy and joy.
As I perfected my craft, my home began to fill with candles of every scent imaginable. I started sharing them with family and friends, who not only appreciated the quality but also began asking for bespoke scents that reflected their personalities and spaces. Their encouragement and belief in my work sparked something unexpected — the idea that this could become something bigger.
It was a close friend and his wife — my very first customers — who truly inspired me to take the leap. With their support, I began to believe that what I had created was something special. After a year of research, testing, and taking part in a few pop-up sales, I decided to take my passion to the next level.
In March 2024, The You Scent was officially born. What started as a word-of-mouth venture quickly grew as people began to fall in love with the scents I brought to life. Even at work, the aroma of my wax melts sparked conversations and curiosity — and soon, requests for where they could be purchased led to the creation of this very website.
